Student Engagement

In November 2018, the TransCoCon team travelled to the FH Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences in Germany to participate in a weeklong series of project workshops and learning, teaching and training activities. Students from all partners were invited to attend. Alipa Uddin, Hannah Bunford-Jones and Urooj Rani, adult nursing students at the University of Nottingham, were selected to represent Nottingham. Nursing students from partner institutions worked alongside each other, culminating in a student-lead presentation session at the end of the week. Other presentations and workshops during the week explored theoretical notions of cultural competence, cross cultural encounters in acute care settings and cybersecurity in transcultural environments.
